Ira Doneson, MD

Dr. Doneson received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas in 1966 and has over 50 years of experience.  He is originally from Queens, NY.  Dr. Doneson prescribes medication to individuals 18 and older with a variety of mental health diagnosis.


Vera Guarino, RN, PMHNP

Vera Guarino is a Registered Nurse and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center- College of Nursing, Brooklyn, NY in 1995.  She went on to receive a master’s degree in family primary care in 1998 from Pace University- Lienhard School of Nursing/New York, NY campus, followed by a post master’s certificate in psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2001 from Pace University- Lienhard School of Nursing/Pleasantville, NY campus.

Vera has over 15 years of experience in the diagnosing of mental health disorders (ex: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, autism, PTSD and others) and in the prescribing of psychotropic medications for children (age 4 on up), adolescents, adults and older adults.  She is a strong believer in empowering clients through education about their disorder and their medications so that they can make informed choices about their treatment.


Jorge Lu Caceres Jr., PA-C

Mr. Caceres is a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) who received his BS from University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Tx in 1997.  He completed the US Army Military Physician Assistant Training Program in 1997.

Mr. Caceres has been in clinical practice for 21 years in a variety of settings to include primary care, urgent care, geriatrics, occupational medicine, and emergency medicine.  He will be doing medication management for children and adults five (5) years and up.

Mr. Caceres is married to Kim who is an RN.  They have four children and are from Hope Mills, NC.

Mr. Caceres believes in treating all patients with respect and desires to assist patients with mental health issues in living the best life they can with a combination of therapy and medication management.

Cheryl Hall, PA-C, MHS, CHT

Cheryl Hall PA-C MHS, CHT graduated from Duke Universities PA program in 1992. She has a vast amount of experience with high complex patients. She has worked in rural health as a Primary Care solo provider, Urgent Care, Echo Psych, Addiction treatment, Department of Corrections, as well as the privilege of helping Wounded Warriors. She expanded her eastern medical knowledge base with alternative training. Cheryl is a certified Suboxone provider, Certified Medical/Dental Hypnotherapist, a Family Constellation facilitator, and trained in various energy works. All of these modalities she has continued to offer to her patients regardless of the setting.

Over the years Cheryl saw the toll it takes on individuals and families when there is not access to mental healthcare.  The physical health of a patient is an indicator that there are underlying issues that need to be addressed.  Cheryl is looking forward to teaming up with the patients, their families and other healthcare providers that can improve the well-being of the individuals seeking help.
